Martin Evans, IT Engineer and Coordinator for the project at College Green explains, "Compusys won the contract after an exhaustive tendering process and were asked initially to supply 100 PCs to one of our other sites. This gave us the opportunity to further evaluate the quality of the workstations, and the level of service and support we could expect before committing to workstations for College Green. We were absolutely delighted with the results and felt extremely comfortable with Compusys as our IT partner".
Compusys then built a further 598 workstations for College Green, imaged all the machines with the appropriate Faculty master disk and added the software prior to delivery in preparation for the rollout, which was scheduled for the week preceding the opening of the new centre. In effect, the PCs’ would now be a plug and go solution, with no intervention needed by the college. |
