These offences range from Identity Theft, Fraud, Denial of Service (DOS) attacks, hacking and paedophilia.
Investigations of this type of crime need to be undertaken by specialists under the banner of the High Tech Crime Units.
In the quest to provide Forensic Investigators with the best tools and methodologies to aid in the investigation and prosecution of high tech related crimes, Avon & Somerset Police HTCU, in partnership with Intel Corporation UK and Compusys PLC, are providing a dynamic training course on ASR Data’s "Smart" Forensic Investigation Suite. The event will also feature key note speakers who will advise on the latest and future technologies that will aid the fight against High Tech Crime.
ASR Data has been conducting technology based and data forensics training for over a decade. During that time, they have developed a philosophy and methodology that thousands of students from around the world agree is unique, effective, engaging and delivers exceptional value. Understanding adult learning dynamics, the needs and requirements of their students and the core foundation of data forensics allows ASR Data to deliver an overall experience that far exceeds traditional classroom based instruction. More than simply providing technical information or training on a specific tool or platform, their training embraces and addresses data forensics from a holistic perspective.
Avon & Somerset HTCU was the first unit to adopt the Compusys ProManaged based solutions and since then Compusys have been working with in excess of 30 High Tech Crime Units across the United Kingdom, providing solutions and services to aid with the investigation, storage and archive of digital media and evidence.
The training will be held at the Intel Solutions Centre, Winnersh Triangle, Reading from 16th to 19th May. To register for this important training please click here.
